The Mt Molloy Dash is an exciting event that brings together mountain bikers and road cyclists for a thrilling ride through the beautiful landscapes of Far North Queensland. The event starts at Rifel Creek, where both groups gather early in the morning. After a brief safety briefing, the riders set off together on a challenging course that takes them through some of the most picturesque parts of the region.
The road cyclists take on the Jullaten Range, a steep and winding road that provides a thrilling challenge for even the most experienced riders. The route takes them down through the scenic Shannonvale before finally arriving at the finish line. The mountain bikers, on the other hand, tackle the rugged terrain of Bells Hill and the famous Bump Track, a legendary mountain biking trail that tests their skills and endurance.
Despite taking different routes, both groups eventually converge at Teamsters for a well-deserved BBQ breakfast. The atmosphere is electric as riders from both groups share stories of their adventures and celebrate their achievements.
